Sri Radha Rani -Sri Krishna's beloved

Sri Radha is also known as Vrishbhanu Nandini , was born to Sri Vrishbhanuji and Mata Kirti in the land of Barsana. The divine Goddess blessed this Earth by Her birth on the nuptial day of Ashtami, Bhadrapad Shukla Paksh. Sri Radha Rani marks the existence of Sri Krishna for she is his soul, where the trinity (the three worlds that bow to Krishna’s feet) i.e: Sri Krishna himself bows to Sri Radha’s feet. Shri Radha’s beauty, power and resemblance create the ethics of love. None of the scriptures consists the power to verbalize her beauty, for it is clear enough that when beauty of Sri Krishna makes several hearts leave their boundaries, Her beauty is so mesmerising that it makes Him loose consciousness. Then it is practical that thousand Kamas and Ratis are just soil particles before her. Sri Radharani is more sweet than her beauty for she reigns the world of love ,one who enchants her name before and along with Sri Krishna for example ‘Sri Radhakrishna’ is sure to reach Sri Krishna’s sourceful Bhakti. Usually we are told that Sri Radharani was a Gopi who was most near to Lord Krishna’s heart, but it is not true. In the world of Nikunj vrindavan, She is the empress of the world of Nikunj where Gopis and Sakhis serve her selflessly.Sri Radha rani is the soul of Radhavallabh Sampradaya. The reason and the inspiration of existance of Radhavallabh Sampradaya is the transcendental love filled bond of Sri radha and Sri Krishna. The supreme existence of Sri Radha rani is believed to be the soul of Sri Krishna Himself. Sri Krishna the trinity ruler said to be the most handsome charming and unbelievably brave himself bows to Shri Radha’s feet. This describes how magnificent exotic and pristine is the supreme power of Sri Radha.
Sri Radha rani and Nikunja
The mystical world of nikunj is ruled by Sri Radhaji and to enter the corridors of Nikunj one has to be blessed by Her. Sri Radha the symbol of pure love and the soul of Sri Krishna is very innocent and tender. But Sri Radha cannot be easily approached because her aura is too mysterious to be understood by one.The world of Nikunja is based on the transcendental love filled endeavors of Sri Radha and Sri Krishna. Holy land of Nikunja consists of four eternal parts which are:Sri Radha, Sri Krishna, Vrindavan and the Sakhis. The world of Nikunja is untouched by the worldly materialistic illusions and selfish desires. Its every part for eg: the trees, river, soil flowers, birds etc are nurtured and nourished by the transcendental pure selfless love filled devotion of Sri Radha and Sri Krishna.

Love...

As Krishna was as beautiful as the moon and
his skin was blue as a cloud and softer than
a blue lotus ,
Radha would always wear a blue sari
and bedeck herself with blue sapphires. And
because Radha’s skin was golden in colour
like a flash of brilliant lightning, Krishna would
always wear a yellow or golden dhoti. Radha
wore tinkling anklets or payals on her ankles,
and so Krishna wore them too. When they
walked together it made a beautiful sound .
Krishna wore a peacock feather on his
head, which shimmered and caught the
light resembling a bright and beautiful
rainbow, and a garland of pearls (moti). The
pearl necklace that hung on his chest looked
like a row of swans flying across a blue cloud.
Krishna also wore a garland of colourful
wild flowers called the Vaijantimala. Their
bodies would shine with an unusual glow,
and while Krishna shone and sparkled
like the soft silvery moon, Radha seemed
to dazzle like golden lightning.
Krishna also wore fish-shaped earrings and carried
a flute. So when Krishna played his flute, Radha knew
Krishna was in Madhuvana and she would go running to him.
And a the story goes on , that the day would melt
into evening, blue clouds and the moon would be
up on the sky and Radha's eyes would be fixed
on Krishna, and Krishna’s on Radha. Krishna was
as beautiful as a moon and his skin was as blue as
the heavens. Seeing the moon and evening sky,
Radha would be full of love for Krishna. Krishna was
her life and soul—the treasure of her life and the very
life of her own life. Radha adored Krishna with all her
heart, all she wanted to do was to make Krishna happy
—and making him happy was what made her happy.
She found joy in his joy. She did everything in her
power to please him even if it meant putting Krishna
and his wishes before herself and hers, asking for
nothing in return.

What were Krishna feelings for Radha

"The whole world finds true happiness when they are
in my company, but what about me?I feel true
happiness only when I am with Radha.

Everybody says that I am more beautiful than
anything they have ever seen and that they feel joy
in their heart when they just look at me. But my
eyes find pleasure only when they rest on Radha.

The soft melody of my flute attracts everybody and
everything to it, but my ears are enchanted by the
sweet words of Radha alone.

Although my touch is cooler than coolness of many
moons put together, I am refreshed only by the soft
soothing touch of Radha.

I am the life and soul of the whole world but my
life and soul is Radha, and Radha alone."

The Supreme Lord

Indian theology recognizes three aspects of God: Brahman, Paramatma and Bhagavan – the Lord's impersonal feature, his all-pervading localized aspect, and his supreme personhood. The three primary attributes of God – sat (being, or eternality), chit (full cognition), and ananda (unending bliss) – are present in progressively greater degrees in these three aspects. Bhagavan realization represents the sum total of all of God's qualities. Thus Krishna, Bhagavan himself, has a distinct place in the stratification of divinity.

THREE ASPECTS: AN ANALOGY

To make the three levels of God-realization more understandable, later Vaishnava commentators have supplied the following apt analogy.

Three simple villagers and their guide are at a railway station, waiting in great anticipation for the train to arrive. The three have never seen a train before. As one of them notices a massive structure pulling in at a distance, he comments on the headlight: "What is this?" he asks. The guide responds: "That is the train." Confident that he has seen the train, the first villager leaves, satisfied.

When the train approaches the platform, one of the remaining villagers exclaims: "Oh! This is a train!" He has seen the series of cars pulling into the station – the form behind the headlights. He is now also confident that he has seen all there is to see and leaves.

The third man patiently remains behind. And when the train comes into the station he has the opportunity to meet the conductor and to see the various passengers on board. The three villagers went back to their small village and began to tell everyone what they had seen. Though it was an undeniable truth that each had seen the same train, their descriptions were diverse; their realizations were different. The third villager obviously had a more complete experience than the other two. He was able to convince the others for this, for he perfectly described what his two comrades had seen, and more.

Analogically, the big light represents the effulgent impersonal aspect of the Lord (Brahman). This light with something more behind it conveys the idea of divine substance, a personality that pervades all existence (Paramatma). And the third villager's vision represents the most complete aspect of God realization (Bhagavan), wherein one meets the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, and develops a relationship with him.

In the Vaishnava view, the above are considered different aspects of the same Absolute Truth, and they are all valid. One views these different aspects of God according to one's spiritual advancement.

SRI KRISHNA

"The Supreme Lord, the embodiment of truth, consciousness, and joy, is known as Govinda, or Krishna. He is beginninglss, the origin of everything, and the cause of all causes." (Brahma-samhita 5.1)

Krishna is Bhagavan, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The Srimad Bhagavatam declares: "Krishna is God himself" (krishnas tu bhagavan svayam) – He is not merely a portion or manifestation of God, as are so many other divinities in India; he is the original Manifestor, the Complete Godhead. He displayed on earth his eternal lila, or spiritual activities, approximately 5,000 years ago. Vaishnava tradition teaches that Krishna engages in these activities eternally but manifested them on our planet only at that time.

Several pastimes of Krishna reflect grandeur and even harshness, as when he rids the world of evil forces. Despite this, Krishna's appearance underscores the superiority of love over power, sweetness over opulence. While most concepts of God evoke awe and reverence, Krishna evokes intimacy and personal relationship.

The Soul

Who am I? The face I see every morning in the mirror? The eyes that scrutinize it? The heartbeats within my chest? Or the thoughts that race through my brain while I am wondering about all this?

According to the ancient Vedic scriptures, I am none of these things. I am an eternal soul – a jiva – stuck within a city of nine gates (two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, the mouth, rectum and genital).

"When the upper point of a hair is divided into one hundred parts and again each of such parts is further divided into one hundred parts, each such part is the measurement of the dimension of the spirit soul." This amazing statement from the Shvetashvatara Upanishad explains why scientists have not been able to see the soul through their microscopes. Atomic in size, the soul nonetheless is so powerful that it animates the entire body with consciousness. It is situated within the heart, and when it leaves the body, the red corpuscles that carry the oxygen from the lungs can no longer gather energy from the soul. As a result, the activity of the blood, generating fusion, ceases; the heart stops beating; and the entire body disintegrates.

What happens to the soul then?

"For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time," the Bhagavad-gita explains. "He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain" (Bg. 2.20). "As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from childhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. A sober person is not bewildered by such a change" (Bg. 2.13). "As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones" (Bg. 2.22).

The atomic soul (jiva) is part and parcel of the supreme whole, equal to God in quality. Both are eternal, full of bliss and knowledge, but they are not quantitatively equal. Whether embodied or in its pure spiritual state, the jiva remains atomic in size, just as the sunshine molecules remain atomic particles of sunshine. The sunshine is simultaneously one with and different from the sun globe: it is one in quality in terms of heat and light, but not in quantity. Similarly, the jiva always remains a part of the supreme whole.

Throughout the Vedas, the supreme whole is known as Krishna. Being the supreme energetic source of everything, Krishna has innumerable energies, which are categorized in three main divisions: internal, external, and marginal. The internal or superior energy manifests the spiritual variegatedness of the kingdom of God; the external or inferior energy manifests the cosmic creation; and the marginal energy comprises the countless particles of consciousness known as jivas.

Just as the limbs of the body are meant to serve the whole body, the jivas are meant to serve the Supreme Being. But their infinitesimal size makes them prone to become influenced by the Lord's external energy. Under such influence, some jivas choose to misidentify themselves as independent enjoyers. In other words, they become God's competitors. Although it is an impossible dream, Krishna, "who has been fulfilling everyone's desire since time immemorial" (Sri Isopanisad, 8), fulfills their desire by creating this world of matter. This material world is a perverted reflection of the spiritual world. Here the rebellious jivas are free to enact fantasies in one of 8,400,000 types of bodies created by the external, illusory energy.

When the jivas enter the material energy, they are subjected to past, present and future. Under time's influence, and overpowered by fear, they suffer greatly. The only remedy is to resume service to the Lord. The jivas, however, cannot reach this conclusion by their own efforts, because they have forgotten their real identity as spirit souls. They consider themselves products of the material energy.

As the supreme father of all jivas, Krishna is most kind and compassionate. Therefore He personally comes to speak Bhagavad-gita, and He sends His confidential servants to act as spiritual masters. As the Supersoul within everyone's heart, He gives us a conscience, with which we can accept the Vedas and a spiritual master.

Through the study of Bhagavad-gita, the jiva comes to understand his true position as Krishna's servant. Then, under the direction of the expert spiritual master, he engages his senses, mind and intelligence in the service of Krishna. Such practice gradually raises us to the platform of transcendental loving service unto the Lord and culminates in the attainment of a blissful, intimate relationship with Krishna -- the perfection of life.
